I actively go into our schools and wonderful community of Transcona to see firsthand the great work that is being accomplished each and every day. I look forward to meeting those individuals who are working hard in our schools and in our community for our children and their education. I have had many wonderful opportunities to bring greetings, read, listen, and enjoy the many presentations that our students, staff, parents, and community are involved in.
These are a few functions that I have attended as a representative of the Board of Trustees in our community:
– No Stone Left Alone Ceremony
– Christmas Wreaths for the Field of Honour at the Transcona Cemetery
– Royal Canadian Legion – Transcona Branch – Decoration Day Parade and Remembrance Day Ceremonies
– Transcona Historical Museum Remembrance Week Exhibit
These are a few of the school functions that I have attended:
– I Love to Read at our early years schools
– Harold Hatcher Schools 50th Anniversary
– Graduation Ceremonies for all 3 of our High Schools and our Adult Education Learning Centre
– Christmas, Winter and Spring Concerts at our schools
These are a few Divisional functions that I have attended:
– Yes I Can Awards
– Easter Breakfast for the English Ukrainian Bilingual Program
– Divisional Powwow
– Recognition and Retirement Events for Staff
